About Me
Life is a journey of learning, growth, healing, and becoming. My name is Chanel Thompson, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
I am a compassionate, creative therapist who is deeply passionate about helping others heal, grow, and thrive as they become the best versions of themselves. My love for people led me to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Education in Counseling and Development. As a school counselor, I worked closely with students, families, educators, and counselors, supporting individuals through challenges such as grief, trauma, goal-setting, relationship building, conflict resolution, anger management, resilience, coping skills, and mindfulness.
Through this work, I recognized the need to support individuals beyond the traditional school setting, which led me to pursue clinical licensure. Today, I take a hands-on, client-centered approach, blending Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to meet clients where they are and help guide them toward where they want to be.
Whether you are healing from past trauma, building a strong foundation for healthy relationships, or navigating grief, anxiety, depression, or emotional regulation, I believe every journey toward wholeness and mental wellness is unique. My role is to walk beside you, support you, and empower you—one step at a time.
